The Institute for Nonprofit News

We belong to INN, a network of more than 450 independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan, public-service news organizations. INN organizes NewsMatch — an annual program that has matched more than $50,000 in donations to An Arm and a Leg. INN also serves as our fiscal sponsor, so donations to An Arm and a Leg are tax-deductible.

NPR Network

NPR is an independent, nonprofit media organization that was founded on a mission to create a more informed public. The NPR Network distributes An Arm and a Leg through the NPR smartphone app.

KFF Health News

Since 2019, we've partnered with KFF Health News, a national newsroom producing in-depth journalism about health issues in America, and a core program at KFF: an independent source of health policy research, polling, and journalism. As our co-producer, KFF Health News provides editorial collaboration and modest financial support.
KUOW Logo

KUOW

KUOW Puget Sound Radio, Seattle’s NPR news station, is An Arm and a Leg’s distributor. They host our audio, and help extend our reach — connecting us to radio and podcast listeners across the country, including the NPR Network.

In keeping with fiscal-transparency standards set by the Institute for Nonprofit News, we make public donors and supporters who contribute $5,000 or more in a given year.

And just to demonstrate how many folks support us, at so many levels, we like to break it all down, like this:
