“A much needed show”

November 26, 2019

I love the way in which Dan Weissmann has produced a show whose subject is compelling and complex but delivered in a thoughtful and accessible way. An Arm and a Leg is a must listen for anyone who has ever received a medical bill and felt panicked, fleeced, or that the setup is not entirely fair.

I’m getting (cautiously) AI-curious

And that time has come, friends — whether you’re

New episode: What DIDN’T suck in 2025

Hey there — So much to share this week, including a new podcast episode out today, but let’s start with a story that reminded me of this year’s Prescription Drug Playbook. This one’s from a listener — my friend Tim. Tim’s doc prescribed a basic antibiotic — and the pharmacist said the charge would be $100. Tim was like, WTF? A basic antibiotic, not
